Weekend, the second video from Felici Maniere.
This video shows the generic condition of human beings, blind to the brilliance of the contemporary world. The survival of our modern heroes is getting harder, especially because real life is relegated into the only short moment of freedom they have: the weekend.
In the video, shot by Daniele Bagolin - Moba Studio, we describe the common behaviours of our everyday life: kitsch hedonism, superficiality and ignorance.
Here is VENETISTAN, the first single from the album Felici Maniere. It is a track that talks about our land, the North East of Italy, between the Padana plain and the Balkans. We are proud of it and we belong to it, because for centuries it has been a transit place and a meeting of cultures from the sea and the mountains. A land of welcome, brotherhood and tolerance. Because Venetistan rhymes with Kurdistan!
We are very excited to announce the release of our new album Felici Maniere. This is actually our first official album and we have worked deeply on it. Mixing into it our personal stories, our life experience as a band and putting this into the context of the world. What we want to underline is the topic of happiness, both in the social, artistical and political sense - how to reach it and how to enjoy it. From environmental struggles, to the right to a basic income. For the recording and production we worked with Alberto Gaffuri from Xland Studio based in Zugliano (Vicenza). Artworks are designed by our own Luca Mattiuzzo and his team, who worked hard to represent the concept of the album through images. In this album, we put together irony, enthusiasm, serenity and commitment, all features that distinguish ourselves as a band.
Enjoy! See you on stage!
Here you are the last Atom Tanks’ video, completely directed by Alberto Girotto and his crew! With this track we wanted to show you our trashy side that is definitely evident on stage but not so visible in our videography. The most funny, kitsch and crazy face that really shows what we really are in our everyday life. By now we have completely unveiled our EP Na Bomba, recorded in 2015 by Jacopo Trapani, and so the moment to cut off with the past has come. Now there is a brand new future in front of us. We just announce it here but there will be better opportunities: we are working on something new, hold on!
Thanks a lot to all those who took part at the video and to those who gave us the opportunity to use the spaces, that is Andrea from Officine Eventi and Carlo from Dump!
Out now the new Atom Tanks' video from "Na Bomba" EP. We live in a world in which barriers are built. Walls between countries, suburbs and continents. Fences in which few persons want to separate themselves from the people, that face the difficulties and remorses of real life. But despite their trials to create barriers among us, people will always cross them to reach happiness. Nor with fences, neither with barriers, global brotherhood without any border!
2015 was really busy for us, we played everywhere in Veneto, Friuli, Trentino Emilia Romagna and for the first time in Lazio. We issued a Single Track called Diren Kobane as to show our solidarity to the population of Rojava and Kurdistan that fight against the Islamic State and Erdogan Turkish government as a way to achieve their political autonomy. It was recorded and mixed by Gioacchino Mazzoleni at the SAE Institute in Milan. Biji Kobane! Diren Kobane!
Hi everybody! We are really proud to announce you our last works: Totale, that store the former Eps Sociale (2012), Locale (2013) and Globale (2014) with also some remastered tracks, like Pirati alle Armi! And Evasore (Jacopo Trapani remastered). Furthermore, the “Na Bomba” EP is out now! This time we have introduced a bit of reggae/dub sound with the song “Liberi Tutti”. It is a track in solidarity with all the victims of police repression. Here, our sound engineer Jacopo worked hardly to dub it, with the help of other hosts like Giuseppe di Carlo (Sax) and La Clo outta Collective Lab (voice). The second track is “Senza Frontiere”, whose lyrics talk about the meaning of borders between countries and populations, of social and gender inequalities that tear apart the wealth from poverty. Apart from that, to finish the EP we covered three Pop songs, but we do not say anything to you: you must come to our shows and check if these are songs with which you are familiar with! You are welcome to the Na Bomba Tour!
Hello everyone! After a break we are back and we've got some news . For the moment, we inform you that we went to Bologna by our friend Jacopo Trapani to record new songs . Some of you have had the opportunity to listen to them at live shows and represent the B side of the Atom Tanks , that is the irreverent , grotesque and insane one, in other terms the Trash one; on the other hand we have tried to move to the reggae and, again thanks to our Jacopo, a jump in the dub . Stay tuned and follow us at concerts, you will see some good news, and who knows , maybe you can listen to the new tracks. Ah, moreover we have gained a new member , we were not tight enough so we added Beppe at the alto saxophone!
MEDITERRIOT, our official second clip is now available! After 3 EPs (Sociale, Locale e Globale) this video is the conclusion/restart of our musical/political project. We want to thank all of you!
"Witnessing the arrogant defense of Fortress Europe with the externalization of borders and the denial of the migrant's and citizenship's rights, we claim the need to rethink the European area as something broader, tolerant and inclusive, without borders and fences, which must be extended beyond Lampedusa and the Mediterranean sea"
This is the message The Atom Tanks and Alessandra Squarzon from Castle of Quartz Production launch through this video: Mediterriot, an uprising in the Mediterranean sea, which first of all recalls Arab Springs, followed by the more recent Gezi Park and the Syrian conflict, up to the Israeli repression towards the Palestinians. Moreover, we cannot overlook the situation in Lampedusa. In particular, the conditions of refugees , who everyday land at the Italian coasts looking for rights and dignity, moving to a place which they consider a "Promised Land". On the other hand, it turn out to exclude, discriminate and consider asylum seekers as a threat for its population and welfare.
The shots are taken along the Piave river, which has historically symbolized a limes as well as all the streams, a border, a natural fence beyond which there is the stranger, the other, the barbarian. The slogan "The Piave whispered: the stranger cannot pass through!" has been defused almost in an ironic way, It becomes a place of celebration and meeting in opposition to the Mediterranean sea, a border that surely horrifies and discourage migrants who escape hoping for a new life. Crossing the water border is not only an opportunity but it is strickly necessary for refugees partly because they need to create a normal life, but mostly because they search the survival, the escape from death and atrocities caused by conflicts.
Fortunately, in the Europe of Austerity there are people who every day go against the tide, fighting for the rights of those who leave their native lands trying to build a brand new life. Even in Treviso (the place where the video was recorded )have arrived twenty guys from Lampedusa waiting for the asylum, as has happened throughout the North East and the rest of Italy. We have involved them in our video making them the main characters. Before that, we wanted to meet them, listen to their stories, trying to recreate them with music and video.
This is the result, which briefly traces their escape, their fears and the difficulties of an hard journey hoping for a new home, solidarity and integration.

State con noi!
